A rise to power. The Empire lamp is part of Job Smeet's research on architectural icons and their social significance in our culture. By merging strong but distinct reference architectures in the same design object, Empire is the result of the addition of three different landmarks. Starting with the Parthenon below, it grows with the imposing presence of the Empire State Building and ends with the Capitol Hill above.
