Rakis is a sculptural ceramic floor lamp. The verticality of the lamp evokes a central stem that balances strength and fragility. Each curve added pushes the clay to its limits, nearly collapsing under its own weight, before being quickly dried to capture the motion and the fluidity of the raw clay. The lamp is 1.2 m in height and comes in three ceramic sections which stack on top of each other.
